I believe Ive tried everything. Has anyone found a fix?? Would love to hear about it also! I tried this but it didn't work for me but I think I've found a solution. My email editor opens in Microsoft Word so I went to "Options" clicked the "General" tab and then "Email Options" You can then edit your signature in this window without it opening an external editor. Hope this helps! Natalie, if you're doing any highly formatted signatures, the external editor option is your only option.
Thank you, you've helped me solve my problem and saved me time and I really appreciate it! Yes this works for me. Test sending a email from outlook and if instead of images used you get a box with a red x — you may have to edit the paths in the html to be relative and place the images you want in the signature into the parent folder where the sigs are held. What a rubbish error message!!

I have ticked on Use Microsoft Office Word to edit email messages. How do I remedy this? Roady [MVP]. The other two selections are Microsoft Excel and Notepad.
