In the GD1, trunk perimetry was realized four times a week and MLD was realized three times a week during three weeks.

In the GD2, perimetry was realized on the second and tenth days of the PO and MLD was realized only after the tenth PO, also three times a week for a three-week period. Results: All the volunteers had pain and took pain killers; however, the volunteers of the GD1 took less medications.

In the period that the GD2 was not submitted to the MLD, there was an increase in the perimetry measures, while in the GD1 there was a decrease. Conclusion: MLD can be prescribed in the trunk liposuction immediate post-operatory period, since it presented no adverse effect and helped to decrease edema, pain and medicine intake in this sample.
